I love a good coffee shop. The fresh aroma of coffee beans, freshly baked scones, and the quiet buzz of Coltrane or Etta in the background. It’s the perfect setting after work and over the weekend to work on my blog and business. I love visiting coffee spots in different cities, but nothing’s like a hometown favorite. So I’ve rounded up a list of my old and new favorite Coffee shops right here in Columbia, South Carolina.
This contemporary coffee shop has two locations one for business (on Main Street) & one for coffee dates (Five points). It’s one of my favorite spots to pop into during my lunch break for my mid-day coffee fix. My go-to drink is the honey vanilla latte.
Indah Coffee Company
This new hometown favorite started out at as a Soda City Market vendor & has blossomed into its own location in the Cottontown neighborhood. The great thing about Indah, is they still vend at Soda City SC every Saturday! Soda City SC is one of my favorite Saturday traditions.
The mellow vibes, smooth lines & modern vintage charm of Indah’s decor exudes a certain je nais sais quoi that other coffee shops don’t. It really is my new favorite & That’s why I have two go-to drinks at Indah, The Whitney & The Coconut Latte.
This quaint little coffee shop is nestled right on the outskirts of USC Campus; which makes it a University staple. I used to pop-into Cool beans during my undergrad years & they’re still thriving today. The great thing about Cool beans is that offer more than just coffee & have some good lunch choices as well. My go-to drinks are the White Moccahino & the Perfect Man. The later exists only in the coffee world lol.
Is a quaint and cozy downtown coffee spot & eatery tucked right behind the statehouse. They are a Columbia mainstay & have been in business for twenty years. Their regular coffee is great, but my go-to drinks are their Mocha with double espresso with almond milk or the Concentration coffee which is perfect for those who follow the #ketolifestyle.
This popular spot is more than just a coffee shop, it’s more like a dessert cafe, nestled in the heart of the Vista. It’s perfect for date night & they have some of the best desserts in town. You can find me here on the weekend. My go-to drink is The Marshmallow will espresso added & don’t forget their fabulous peach cobbler, pecan pie, and macaroons.
